I am a proud graduate of the Yorktown Central School District and had the distinct honor of dedicating hundreds of hours of volunteer service to the PTAs throughout my time in Yorktown. Throughout my years of service, I saw firsthand the incredible impact PTAs have on students' experiences at all grade levels, and the importance of organizing effective fundraisers to support their critical work.
Unfortunately, I also witnessed the pitfalls of supply kit fundraisers. Supply kits are an amazing service for families and can be highly profitable for PTAs. Far too often, however, this was not the case. Parents struggled to place orders through antiquated websites, and supply kits arrived with missing items; there was no remedy from unhelpful customer service representatives halfway across the country. The PTA profited as little as $1 a supply kit in some cases, while doing all the work – advertising, distribution, and scrambling to fix the mistakes of a distant corporate enterprise. I knew there had to be a better way.
As it turns out, there is. The proudest moments of my years of PTA service were when my dad and I single-handedly organized supply kits “in-house.” By cutting out the big companies and conducting the fundraiser on a 100% volunteer basis, we increased PTA profits by thousands. I learned that it was possible to eliminate all those supply kit perils and create an incredible experience for families and the PTA, because that is exactly what we did.
I used my years of experience to create EZ Skool Suppliez to uphold this mission, bring the benefits of these fundraisers to more PTAs, and support as many students as possible. The proof is ultimately in the results, and I am incredibly proud of all we have been able to accomplish. I have had the privilege of working with several PTAs for the past 4 years and have donated over $30,000 in profit to support students while delivering an unparalleled experience for parents, teachers, and PTA leaders. The difference is not just significantly increased profits and easy ordering for families, but the incredible value of lasting relationships that ensure a consistent, dependable fundraiser each year.
I was born and raised in Yorktown and continue to call this town home. My younger brother attends Middle School in the Yorktown Central School District, and my family and I continue to volunteer extensively with our local PTAs. EZ Skool Suppliez was created to benefit families, teachers, PTAs, and most importantly, students, and I am proud to say it has been an incredible success at every school we have been honored to partner with. Now, I hope to bring the “EZ Difference” to more communities across the region, because everyone deserves the best possible supply kit experience.
